GIA, IGI und HRD Antwerp bewerten Diamantfarbe auf einer Skala von D bis Z — von vollkommener Farblosigkeit bis zu einem deutlich sichtbaren Gelbton. Die Bewertung erfolgt unter kontrollierten Bedingungen, mit dem Stein auf dem Kopf, gegen einen weißen Hintergrund. Was das Auge im Ring sieht, ist eine andere Geschichte.

GIA, IGI and HRD Antwerp grade diamond colour on a scale from D to Z — from complete colourlessness to a clearly visible yellow tint. Grading takes place under controlled conditions, with the stone face-down against a white background. What the eye sees in a ring is another story entirely.

D, E, F — Das Absolute

Vollkommen farblos. Kein Warmton, kein Gelbstich — reines, kühles, arktisches Weiß. Selbst unter dem Mikroskop sind D, E und F kaum voneinander zu unterscheiden. Diese Steine sind nicht für jeden — sie sind für jene, die wissen, dass Vollkommenheit existiert, und bereit sind, dafür zu investieren.

Completely colourless. No warmth, no yellow tint — pure, cool, arctic white. Even under a microscope, D, E and F are barely distinguishable from one another. These stones are not for everyone — they are for those who know that perfection exists, and are prepared to invest in it.

I, J — Nahezu Farblos

Ein Hauch von Wärme beginnt, sich anzudeuten — in Isolation kaum wahrnehmbar, im direkten Vergleich mit einem D-Stein erkennbar. In Gelbgoldfassungen kann dieser Warmton von außerordentlichem Charme sein. In Platin oder Weißgold empfehlen wir, nicht tiefer als J zu gehen.
