Die Skala
GIA, IGI und HRD Antwerp bewerten Diamantfarbe auf einer Skala von D bis Z — von vollkommener Farblosigkeit bis zu einem deutlich sichtbaren Gelbton. Die Bewertung erfolgt unter kontrollierten Bedingungen, mit dem Stein auf dem Kopf, gegen einen weißen Hintergrund. Was das Auge im Ring sieht, ist eine andere Geschichte.
D, E, F — Das Absolute
Vollkommen farblos. Kein Warmton, kein Gelbstich — reines, kühles, arktisches Weiß. Selbst unter dem Mikroskop sind D, E und F kaum voneinander zu unterscheiden. Diese Steine sind nicht für jeden — sie sind für jene, die wissen, dass Vollkommenheit existiert, und bereit sind, dafür zu investieren.
G, H — Die Wahl des Kenners
Mit bloßem Auge vollkommen farblos — der Unterschied zu D und E ist nur im direkten Nebeneinandervergleich unter kontrollierten Bedingungen erkennbar. GIA, IGI and HRD Antwerp grade diamond colour on a scale from D to Z — from complete colourlessness to a clearly visible yellow tint. Grading takes place under controlled conditions, with the stone face-down against a white background. What the eye sees in a ring is another story entirely.
D, E, F — The Absolute
Completely colourless. No warmth, no yellow tint — pure, cool, arctic white. Even under a microscope, D, E and F are barely distinguishable from one another. These stones are not for everyone — they are for those who know that perfection exists, and are prepared to invest in it.
G, H — The Connoisseur’s Choice
Completely colourless to the naked eye — the difference from D and E is only perceptible in direct side-by-side comparison under controlled conditions. G and H are the connoisseur's choice: the highest visible quality, masterful value. The most sought-after category for premium engagement rings — and ours.
I, J — Near Colourless
A hint of warmth begins to suggest itself — barely perceptible in isolation, recognisable in direct comparison with a D stone. In yellow gold settings, this warmth can be of extraordinary charm. In platinum or white gold, we recommend going no lower than J.
